Forgot about buttons...teh buttonz!! LOL.
If Gamestop's market capitalization dips low enough - which would happen if they didn't sell the 720 - they'd be bought out. End of story. For the figures, Gamestop is worth 3.5 billion. Microsoft's profits are more than what Gamestop is worth.
It'd be another story if its Best Buy or Wal-Mart? But...GAMESTOP FLIPPIN LIVES OR DIES OFF THE PRODUCT OF THREE BRANDS...JUST THREE!!! Why would they cut off 1/3 or more potential sales. The only reason woul...
Microsoft spends the money to make the product, create the demand by multi-million dollar campaings...while Gamestop tries to irk out every dime off used games to get by. Yet Microsoft is dependent on Gamestop?
Hell no! They'd have the advantage on any matter. They buy up the little shitz and make those in posh neighborhoods Microsoft stores. People think. Really. Gamestop is another leech sucking at the teats of this industry. We're talking Microsoft. M'kay...
At worst the 720 would only be regulated to the PS3's old corner in the back of the store by all the used controllers and stuff.
Gamestop ain't stupid...not that stupid.
i love those Brian Bosworth ads back in the days. One of 80's most colorful athletes.
More than 2.8m must be RROD'd!! LOL...PS3 is definitely ahead of the 3rd place 60 /troll
Still, I'm calling it a draw this gen for the two systems. Bring of the 720 and PS4's (in 2 yrs or so I hope).
Stating what should really be obvious...
I know a ton of people with smart phones and they play their Angry Birds, Hanging w/ Friends, etc.. But they don't play "real games" as I refer to them. We're looking different markets. It is like comparing Disney (non-Marvel) comic books with Vertigo. Both are comics, but way different markets.
With all the naysayers eating crow...I might cop a 3DS just to rub it in. Go Ninty.
Xof...interesting.
I think comic books are an example of your theory there. I think the medium follow its audiences tastes, and right now the audience is more Gears of War and Call of Duty. If a dev wants to make the game emotional, his knowledge, skills and technology are all that limit him. The Kara demo shows the medium is making progress in the latter.
Yeah, I was thinking an actual tray that slides out like my old ass computer as opposed as a slot with a drive that swallows my disc like my PS3.
I said to myself, 'What? the XBox is going even more bare bones. What's next, only wired controllers? LOL!'
Just because the PS3 has competition, doesn't mean it is a disappointment. There is nothing to stop any company with funds and vision to create a successful console. Any entrant - Valve, Apple or whomever - will steal a portion of market share. That doesn't mean Sony is a disappointment. This is business- not a WWE cage match. They can co-exist, compete, and even co-operate.
We have our criticisms, but this generation has no losers. I admire the gaming industry ...
Assassin's Creed is not an adult story line imo. This doesn't appear to be one either. I think a story like one sees on TV dramas are "adult" or deal with adult/real world themes. Interesting tho.
Btw being 20 doesn't necessarily gain you any points either. You got years to go.
Wow. Have we crossed the uncanny valley yet?
Call me safe, but I'd be apprehensive if gameplay was radically different. Basically I want Twisted Metal Black (all I know) with bigger maps.
I read as this.
"The 720. Yeah, we did the 360 and did it well. We're sure we'll be there with the 720."
"But what is really new for us is mobile gaming and we're excited about our prospects for that too."
R&D is a continuous endeavor. So is the PR. LOL!
A 512MB came with the PSP, though. They should give you a 16GB at the very least.
I've learned that most game writers are English majors and not industry vets, they dream up reasons for Sony to fail. So I'm still getting mine...maybe my fifth PSP along with it. I didn't expect Vita to topple the 3DS, besides timid launch sales isn't always seen as an instant failure by Sony, and wisely so. Hopefully we will see a price drop before holiday 2012, and Vita can build off what PSP has accomplished.
@DivineHand
No nothing that grave...but it is like what everyone decries HipHopGamer for. I thought it was quite lame when I read the title. Podcast was cool though.
@Evil...
The Kinect and Move needs more varied and in-depth games dedicated to them...which for some translates into hardcore titles. Who bought the system is not in question, but the quality of the games they can support.
The tech for both is cool, and many "hardcore" bought it to check it out. After all a hardcore gamer is much more likely to play a casual game than a casual gamer a hardcore game. However the potential to revolutionize gaming jus...
